We’ve received several emails from devoted readers asking whether gay bar/cafe Trúnó is closed or not, unfortunately the answer is yes.
Truno and Barbara at Laugavegur 22 were for years the best, friendliest and most popular gay venues in Iceland. The places merged into one and were unfortunately later closed, both are missed.
The one and only gay bar in Iceland is currently Gay 46, which is divided into a large bar with a dance floor and some billiard tables and then a special men only area.
