The largest exhibition of its kind in Europe just got even more immersive.
The Whales of Iceland exhibition, which is also renowned as a one-of-a-kind venue for events ranging from wedding receptions to film festivals, has been given an overhaul aimed at enhancing visitors’ experience.
Every detail contributes to a sense of wonder and authenticity: The space, which is over 1,700 square metres (18,300 sq. ft), contains beach-like floors, the atmospheric lighting and soundscapes, not to mention the look and feel of the suspended whale models, life-sized and incredibly life-like to the touch. A visit to Whales of Iceland takes you out of this world – and into the extraordinary one down below: There are impressive interactive displays, a VR adventure and an audio guide in English, German and Icelandic.
As for private events, this versatile venue accommodates up to 700 standing guests and up to 300 seated. Having housed gala dinners, Iceland Airwaves music events, meetings, conferences, product demonstrations and the World Bartender Championship to name but a few, the Whales of Iceland exhibition makes any event exceptional and unique. Truly a magical surrounding like none other, that guests will remember for a long time.
The exhibition is located at Fiskislóð 23-25 in the heart of Reykjavík’s old harbour area. Opening hours: Summer (1 June – 31 August) 10 am – 6 pm. Winter (1 September – 31 May) 10 am – 5 pm.
