Dir. Sara Broos / 74’ / Sweden

Synopsis: An intimate and sensitively filmed love story between one of Scandinavia’s most highly regarded modern painters and a young Brazilian dancer. Two men with a dark past desperately searching for true love. They meet on Skype and can’t communicate, yet they decide to meet and try to fall in love. This is the beginning of an unpredictable and humorous love story with dark undertones of domination and control. Synopsis: An astounding untold story of patient activism and innovation — about AIDS survival, not death — which has been overlooked until this important and timely documentary, culled from a trove of never-before-seen archival footage and edited together in verité style to bring the viewer back over two decades to an urgent time of rampant death, political indifference, and amazing resilience.

Dir. Antonio da Silva / 10’ / Portugal

A cross between a road-trip in Portugal and a summer love story, shot in super 8 film. It is the juncture of a poetic narrative with factual and personal elements. Julian is represented here as the “noble savage” of Rousseau: nature is his natural environment.
