Ignoring her given name, Hólmfríður responds to two nicknames, Fríða or Hófí, depending on which stage of puberty one got to know her. She is a freelance journalist who recently returned to Iceland after a few years of living in Barcelona. She loves all things Mediterranean and has an unfulfilled lust for languages. In fact, she has spent a great deal of her life working on her mission to become a polyglot, only to find out recently that her head can only carry three languages at a time. She is currently looking for a new obsession.
