Make sure your holiday season starts with on of the best holiday events in town, namely Reykjavik Queer Choir’s Christmas Concert which will be held at Neskirkja (at Hagatorg, 107 Reykjavik) today, Saturday 7th of December, at 5pm. The choir will perform with a band and classical singer, song-writer and actress Andrea Gylfadóttir (of Todmobile fame).
The choir, which is known for a wide variety of music, will perform pieces from different categories, including christmas songs, pop music, rock and famous songs which have on the occasion been made a little more, well “gay”.
The conductor is Helga Margrét Marzellíusardóttir and pianist is Jón Birgir Eiríksson.
The concert is a fundraising event for a choirs trip to Dublin next summer. In Dublin the choir will take part in Various Voices, a LGBT choral event.
Full ticket price is 3.200 ISK, but 2.700 ISK if bought from choir members.
