[dropcap4]I[/dropcap4]celand is the coolest country to visit. Or at least it’s where you can expect the warmest welcome according to a new survey done by World Economic Forum. In the survey, Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report, 140 countries were given scores on a scale from one (were tourists felt unwelcome by locals) to seven (very welcome).
The top ten nations in order of their friendliness to visitors:
- Iceland
- New Zealand
- Morocco
- Macedonia
- Austria
- Senegal
- Portugal
- Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Ireland
- Burkina Faso
The bottom ten nations are (Bolivia is at the very bottom in 140th place):
- Mongolia
- Bulgaria
- Slovak Republic
- Pakistan
- Iran
- Latvia
- Kuwait
- Russian Federation
- Venezuela
- Bolivia
