Adding to the line up of gay venues in Iceland comes the new Gay 46 at Hverfisgata 46, Reykjavik, which was launched last weekend with a roaring success.
Gay 46 is Icelandʹs currently biggest gay club, situated under the same roof as The Boys Only Club (i. Strákaklúbburinn okkar). In addition to a large dance floor, where head dj Kollster rules, the place will have a 250 seating area and cool snoker tables. The place is aimed at gays, lesbians, bis, trans and friends alike.
Ingi Rafn Hauksson, one of the clubʹs owners, sais in a recent interview at news site www.visir.is, that he expects the place to be a big hit with tourists coming to Iceland. ʺEspecially in the spring when gay women and men flock to the country. That time around thereʹs usually a high demand for a place like this.ʺ
