Trans-documentary Hrafnhildur has not only been getting good reviews in Iceland (news paper Morgunblaðið giving it 4 out of 5 stars) it also seems to appeal to a large audience of cinema goers.
Well over 1.500 people have already seen it since the premiere more than three weeks ago making Hrafnhildur the most popular documentary in Iceland, according to the local media.
So a big hip hurray for filmmaker and TV personality Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir and Hrafnhildur, the documentary’s protagonist, not only with the new found success of the documentary but also for raising the subject of the up until now almost invisible world of trans people in Iceland!
