Rehearsals for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 are taking place in Düsseldorf, Germany. Everything went well for the Icelandic band Sjonni’s at The Esprit Arena earlier this week.
Iceland’s entry this year is the song Coming Home, a relaxed song dealing with the preciousness of life. The composer Sigurjón Brink, better known as Sjonni Brink, passed away unexpectedly in January so his friends decided to perform the song in his memory in Icelandic competition. The song and performance won Sjonni’s Friends a place in the Eurovision Song Contest which will take place on the 14th of May. Before that the band will have to get through the first semifinals set on Tuesday 10th of May.
